1. Who we are

Katale Deals is an online marketplace that connects local buyers and sellers. We list items and enable conversations and offers - we are not a party to any sale, we do not hold stock, and we do not process payments of any kind.

2. Your account

• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your password safe.
• One person, one account. Accounts that abuse the platform may be suspended by an administrator.

3. Listings and selling

• Only list items you actually own and can hand over in person.
• Describe items honestly - condition, faults, and accessories included.
• Stolen, counterfeit, illegal, or dangerous items are strictly prohibited.
• Administrators may suspend or remove any listing at their discretion.

4. Payments and meetups

• There are no online payments on Katale Deals. All transactions happen face to face between buyer and seller:
• Meet in a public place - at a mall, a shop, or on a busy street.
• Inspect and test the item before any money changes hands.
• Only pay when you have seen the product. Never send mobile money, deposits, or booking fees in advance.
• An accepted offer on the platform is an expression of interest, not a binding contract. The final deal is agreed between the parties in person.

5. Liability

Katale Deals provides the platform as is. We do not vet items or users and we are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed, the accuracy of listings, or the conduct of buyers and sellers. Any dispute arising from a transaction is between the buyer and the seller.

6. Content and conduct

• No harassment, spam, or fraudulent behaviour in listings, offers, or messages.
• You grant us a licence to display the photos and text you upload for the purpose of running the marketplace.
• We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Katale Deals after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
